Providence Behavior Therapy is committed to providing behavior therapy and related services to individuals, families, and agencies by utilizing best practices to support autonomy, accessibility, well-being, and success.
Our vision is to maximize the quality of life for individuals, families, and the community through education, support, and therapy.
We utilize a person-centered approach, tailoring goals to best serve our clients and meet their individual needs. Clients' existing skills, strengths, and interests are incorporated into sessions to make therapy more relevant and enjoyable. We believe in recognizing and celebrating our differences. At PBT we also work to better understand the potential role of trauma and burnout in our client’s life and how these experiences can manifest behaviorally.
Quality support services for clients, families, and agencies who utilize American Sign Language (ASL) can be difficult to access. PBT strives to make our services more accessible for D/deaf, hard of hearing, and non-vocal clients. We appreciate the beauty and power of sign language and have experienced the success of using sign language to promote communication.
At PBT our mental health therapist is Deaf and a native signer. We have other staff with various levels of signing experience. Our goal is to continuously work to expand our ASL skills and knowledge of Deaf culture, as well establish ourselves as an advocate, ally, and resource for the Deaf community.
