Providence Behavior Therapy is committed to providing therapy and consultation to individuals, families, and agencies by utilizing best practices to support autonomy, accessibility, progress, and well-being.
Our vision is to maximize the quality of life for individuals, families, and the community through therapy, consultation, education, and support.
We utilize a person-centered approach, tailoring goals to best serve our clients and meet their individual needs. Clients' existing skills, strengths, and interests are incorporated into sessions to make therapy more relevant and enjoyable. We believe in recognizing and celebrating our differences. At PBT we also work to better understand the potential role of trauma and burnout in our client’s life and how these experiences can manifest behaviorally.
While therapy is transformative in nature, constant or discouraging correction is counterproductive to our mission and goals. PBT seeks to connect with clients and nurture their autonomy, skills, and well-being in order to best support their areas of need.
Quality support services for clients, families, and agencies who utilize American Sign Language (ASL) can be difficult to access. PBT strives to make our services more accessible for D/deaf, hard of hearing, and clients who otherwise use sign language to communicate. We appreciate the beauty and power of ASL and have experienced the success of using sign language to promote communication.
