Heather Skeen founded Providence Behavior Therapy in 2019. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in Texas. She's been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2009. Over the course of her career Heather has worked in various-sized private agencies as well as a state Deaf school.
Heather has provided behavior therapy and related services in clinics, homes, community settings (e.g., stores, parks, restaurants), schools, and daycares. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults, specializing in toddlers through teenagers. Additionally, she has experience serving the Deaf/hard of hearing community and has been learning and using American Sign Language (ASL) daily since 2015.
Heather completed her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and English at Aurora University in 2009 and graduated from Valparaiso University in 2011 with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In 2013, she earned her ABA certificate from Florida Institute of Technology. She became a BCBA in 2014.
Bria Walker joined Providence Behavior Therapy in 2021. She is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) accruing hours to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Bria started in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in December of 2016 in Miami, Florida and has worked across multiple states, including California and now Texas.
Bria has worked in schools, homes, clinics, and community settings with clients from the age of two up until twenty-two years of age, specializing in young children. Bria traveled to Madrid, Spain where she taught English to elementary school students for the entire year of 2019. She is currently able to communicate in Spanish at an intermediate level.
Bria completed her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology at the University of Miami in 2011. In 2018 Bria earned her Master's degree in ABA from National University in Santa Clarita, California.
Thalia Rios Wood joined Providence Behavior Therapy in 2021. She is accruing hours to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Thalia started in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in June of 2019 in San Diego, California.
Thalia has worked in schools, daycares, homes, clinics, and community settings with clients from the ages of two through fifteen, specializing in young children. Additionally, Thalia has worked with young children who are non-vocal and utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. She is currently able to communicate in Spanish at an intermediate level.
Thalia completed her undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Anthropology at Florida International University in 2019. Thalia is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in ABA at the University of Dayton online.
